Dubai Parks and Resorts showcases its integrated theme park resort as it makes its inaugural appearance at London’s World Travel Market 2015

London, UK : Dubai Parks and Resorts makes its debut appearance at the World Travel Market 2015 exhibition, being held in London on 2-5 November 2015.  Dubai Parks and Resorts will be the largest integrated theme park resort in the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent and includes three theme parks and a water park –  motiongate™ Dubai, Bollywood Parks™ Dubai, LEGOLAND® Dubai and the LEGOLAND® Water Park.

Dubai Parks and Resorts will open to the public in October 2016 and is set to both benefit from and contribute to the Dubai Tourism’s Vision 2020 initiative whose aim is to attract 20 million visitors to Dubai every year, with a goal to become a major tourism destination in the United Arab Emirates.

Dubai Parks and Resorts has partnered with some of the world’s most well-known entertainment providers. motiongate™ Dubai has brought together three of Hollywood’s biggest studios – Dreamworks Animation, Lionsgate and Sony Pictures Studios to create attractions based on their much-loved films including: The Hunger Games (a world first), How to Train your Dragon, Shrek, Madagascar, Ghostbusters and The Smurfs. Operated by Parques Reunidos Servicios Centrales, motiongate™ Dubai will feature 4 million square-feet of entertainment, with 27 unique attractions across five zones

Bollywood Parks™ Dubai will showcase the irresistible charm of classic blockbusters from Mumbai’s famous film industry and will feature a daily Bollywood show at the 850 seat Broadway-style Rajmahal Theatre. To produce this show, Dubai Parks and Resorts has partnered with Wizcraft International Entertainment, India’s leading communications and entertainment agency.

LEGOLAND® Dubai, which will be operated by Merlin Entertainments plc, is designed for families with children aged 2-12, and will include over 40 interactive rides, shows and attractions across 3 million square feet. The Park will feature over 15,000 LEGO® models made from more than 60 million LEGO® bricks. Dubai Parks and Resorts will also be home to a LEGOLAND® Water Park, with over 20 attractions including a half-million gallon wave pool.

The destination will also include Riverland™ Dubai, a themed retail, dining, and entertainment experience that will be the gateway to the parks as well as a destination in its own right. The Lapita™ Hotel, a Polynesian-themed family hotel, which will be managed by the Marriott Group is also set to open in October 2016 as part of the resort.

Dubai Parks and Resorts forecasts 6.7 million ticketed visits in 2017, its first full year of operation.

Dubai Parks and Resorts PJSC (DFM: DUBAIPARKS), will become the Middle East’s largest multi-themed leisure and entertainment destination comprising three separate theme parks: motiongate™ Dubai, a Hollywood movie inspired theme park concept; LEGOLAND® Dubai, the first LEGOLAND theme park in the Middle East; and Bollywood Parks™ Dubai, a first-of-its-kind entertainment destination that will showcase the authentic Bollywood movie experience. Set to open in October 2016, the large-scale AED 10.5 billion project is spread across 25 million square feet of land strategically located on Sheikh Zayed Road close to the Palm Jebel Ali between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.  6.7 million ticketed visits are expected in 2017, the first full year of operation.
