Fourth event to be held as part of the “UAE National Open Day” campaign

First Ras Al Khaimah open day invites Emiratis to apply for more than 800 positions in the exciting Forsati programme
Open day to take place at the Al Hamra Convention Centre, part of the Hilton Al Hamra Beach and Golf Resort in Ras Al Khaimah
Dubai Parks and Resorts, the region’s largest integrated theme park resort, is inviting Emiratis to join its UAE National Open Day in Ras Al Khaimah on January 30th.
The open day, which will be held on January 30 at the Al Hamra Convention Centre, part of the Hilton Al Hamra Beach and Golf Resort in Ras Al Khaimah, will identify Emirati candidates for Dubai Parks and Resorts’ exciting Forsati programme, part of its commitment to empower and grow a new generation of talent for the theme park industry.
Raed Kajoor Al Nuaimi, Chief Executive Officer at Dubai Parks and Resorts, said: “The UAE has an incredible resource of Emirati talent. Dubai Parks and Resorts is committed to empowering UAE nationals by providing them with the opportunity to play a part in our growing and dynamic industry. Forsati in particular offers intensive and practical training to Emirati high school graduates, as well as non degree holders, enabling them to enjoy a worthwhile career in our company.”
Forsati, launched in September 2015, is part of Dubai Parks and Resorts’ extensive Emiratisation programme, which is set to hire up to 1,000 UAE nationals to complement the Dubai Plan 2021 and the 7-Year National Agenda to promote Emiratisation and empower national talent.
Forsati, which means ‘my opportunity’ in Arabic, comprises a development programme for UAE nationals of high school education or below and will provide a total of 6 months training to over 800 Emiratis. The open day is the fourth in a series that will conclude in Fujeirah on 20th February.
To date, 223 Emiratis have signed letters of intent to work at Dubai Parks and Resorts through the Forsati programme. Ten Emirati graduates are currently undergoing an an exciting scholarship programme to study Theme Park Management at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, USA as part of the Helmiprogramme and a further 40 will be given the opportunity to participate in the same course with a visiting faculty in Dubai .
Dubai Parks and Resorts will feature motiongate™ Dubai – a movie based theme park showcasing some of Hollywood’s most beloved characters from DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Studios and Lionsgate as well as the region’s first LEGOLAND® Park and a LEGOLAND® Water Park. Committed to bringing together the best of the East and West, Dubai Parks and Resorts will also feature Bollywood Parks™ Dubai, the first theme park based on the sights and sounds of Bollywood. The entire destination will be connected by Riverland™ Dubai – a retail, dining and entertainment walkway and guests can stay at the Lapita™ Hotel, a Polynesian-themed resort catering to families.
