The first LEGO® model from LEGOLAND® Dubai, part of Dubai Parks and Resorts, has roared into the family theme park in the shape of a gigantic Red Dragon which will captivate The Dragon roller coaster’s passengers. At almost four metres long, weighing more than half a tonne and made from more than 230,000 LEGO® bricks, this Red Dragon model will be one of the largest models in the Park.

The Red Dragon model will mesmerise brave children and their parents during their journey through its home, the LEGOLAND® Castle, with its animated glowing eyes, moving head and opening and closing mouth. The families will witness smoke billowing out of the model dragon’s nostrils as it guards the King’s treasure, before they exit the Castle onto The Dragon roller coaster’s fun-filled outdoor track.

“We are particularly thrilled to be announcing the arrival of the iconic Red Dragon model – not only because this is a significant milestone for LEGOLAND® Dubai, but also because this is one of the biggest and most animated models in the Park,” said Siegfried Boerst, General Manager of LEGOLAND® Dubai.

“It’s fantastic to see LEGOLAND® Dubai coming together with the Park’s first roller coaster installed and now our first LEGO® model,” he added. “We are looking forward to welcoming families to LEGOLAND Dubai this October to enjoy our rides, attractions and fun learning experiences.”

The Red Dragon model will be the largest in the LEGO® Kingdom area, home to the iconic LEGOLAND® Castle and many other exciting attractions for the whole family. It is the first of 15,000 LEGO models made from 60 million LEGO® bricks that will be found throughout LEGOLAND Dubai’s six themed areas, along with more than 40 interactive rides, shows and attractions.

Scheduled to open in October this year, LEGOLAND® Dubai, together with LEGOLAND® Water Park, is part of Dubai Parks and Resorts which will also feature motiongate™ Dubai – a unique theme park showcasing some of Hollywood’s most beloved characters from DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Studios and Lionsgate. Committed to bringing together the best of the East and West, Dubai Parks and Resorts will also feature Bollywood Parks™ Dubai, the first ever theme park based on the sights and sounds of Bollywood. The entire destination will be connected by Riverland™ Dubai – a retail, dining and entertainment walkway and guests can stay at the Lapita™ Hotel, a Polynesian-themed resort catering to families.
